This course provides the skills and knowledge required to conduct atmospheric testing to assess whether a work area is safe for entry or ongoing activity. It is commonly applied in industrial environments where hazardous gases may be present, such as confined spaces, process plants, storage facilities, and maintenance areas.
This program is designed for individuals currently working in or seeking to enter operational and safety-critical roles within the mining industry. This includes both surface and underground mining environments where atmospheric testing is a mandatory safety requirement under site permit-to-work systems.
MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres are required to be refreshed every 2 years from date of issue.
